Venezia… charme me.

No boat, you see the little secrets of Venezia by walking.

Rio Tera Lista Spagna. First step in Venezia and we can smell its first fragrance… the salty sea and the opaque water, which seems to be filled with topazes.

The Ghetto of Venezia… S. Geremia first bridge… bridges make the magical connection of unifying Venezia. Tourists all around, by the tongues you can hear the diversity of the world. There, Campo Ghetto Nuovo, in the corner of the place, you see the old and little synagogue of Venezia… lovely like Venezia. Familiar feeling… tackle between two building, a little kosher restaurant, where a Rabbi gives a lesson to three little boys… You say shalom to the women working in the bakery, even if they do not know you they answer shalom with the smile and you leave slowly the ghetto.

On the Rio tera S. Leornado, little market, which stimulate your nose and drive crazy your eyes. Fishes, big one, little one, long one… There is even that swordfish head, which got a very vertical pose for the display. Fruits… vegetables… You see those old women bargaining over the pomodoro.

Rio Tera D. Madelena et Via V. Emanuele; shops, backeries, storse, objects, colors… Too much… let see more.

We pass the canal Rio Di Noale and the sun just want to blind me.

On Salizz S. Giov. Crisotomi we admire those famous carnival suits and masks.

That is it, Venezia is a constant carnaval of sounds, smells, colours, places, secrets…

On the Merceria Due Aprile, we feel that we will suffocate between those pink brick walls…

On the corner of C. Mazzini e Merceria, we can admire the phenomenal iron phoenix statue, holding a lantern.

Now we turn senestra on C. del Lovo… or it is call… C. di Mezzo? Lost? Do not care, we fallow those red signs, on the walls. We go just a little bit more fast and there is: Piazza San Marco.

The spacious environment hold your breath…

The red pink bricks tower look like the leg of a giant, on the tourists line.

Waves of pigeons… Some fly much near you, that you feel the wind in your hair, after their passage. On the top of the Basilica di San Marco, you can admire the four bronze horses stolen from Bysance… pure beauty…

Lets take a coffee at five euros on the Piazza San Marco, the view is magistral… I stop thinking abut Venezia for a moment… I think about your black hair… floating in the air… somewhere…

On the Piazzeta San Marco, the sun on the blue waves bewitch you… The sound of the waves on the marble stairs is… indescribable.

Venezia is like a gigantic painting… it is great… but more you get closer, you see some details… hide everywhere… Little treasures of Venezia… Scenes of the theatre of life…

A cat watching you, from a window, which it is submerged by those green plants. Looking at those two lovers kissing each other, over a cascade of ivy. This old woman singing the traditional Italian song… Nelle strade di Venezia… (something like this)

Hop! We are back on the Ria Degli Schiavoni… Little kids smiles hide behind their gelato… The sound of the gondola shake by the waves…

And when you stand in the center of Piazza San Marco, you hear the concerto of all the bells of the Basilica. Enchanteur…

A surge of pigeons distract you. Tourists playing the scarecrow and a violinist playing joyful notes.

Just look up and wait for the wind to blow up the yellow and red flag of Venezia…
